  • Savlon Bites & Stings Gel works to relieve pain and itching and helps to prevent infection.
  • The Lidocaine Hydrochloride, in Savlon Bites & Stings Gel, works by temporarily blocking the pathway of nerve signals to the brain. This helps relieve itching and pain, which are common symptoms of bug bites and minor allergic reactions.

  2. Clean and dry the affected area thoroughly.
  3. Apply a small amount of the Savlon Bites & Stings Gel with a clean fingertip.

Can Savlon Bites & Stings Pain Relief Gel be used on animal bites?

Savlon Bites & Stings Gel is not suitable for use on animal bites such as dog or cat bites but is an effective treatment for insect bites and stings, such as gnat bites or bee stings. If you have been bitten by an animal, please seek medical advice from your GP or local emergency department.

Savlon for minor burns

  • For minor burns, such as cooking-related incidents, it’s important to immediately put the wound under cool water for at least 10 minutes. 
  • Dry the wound and apply Savlon Scar Prevention Gel or Savlon Antiseptic Cream directly to the wound with clean hands.
  • Savlon Scar Prevention Gel can help soothe the pain and also create optimal healing conditions due to its hydro-active colloid properties.

How to use:

  1. Wash your hands prior to the application. 
  2. Clean and dry the affected area thoroughly.
  3. Apply a small amount of Savlon Scar Prevention Gel/Savlon Antiseptic Cream with a clean fingertip but do not massage. 
  4. If required, cover the affected area with a bandage/ plaster.
